WORK
Cone & Graham, Inc. is a key partner in the largest and most complex segment of the I-75 corridor, known as Segment AB. This critical 3.1-mile project extends from NW 170th Street to south of Miramar Parkway, providing express lanes in the existing I-75 median. It also includes 2.6 miles of reconstruction along the Homestead Extension of Florida’s Turnpike, accommodating a third-level direct median-to-median flyover express lane connection and new interchange movements.
The project features significant infrastructure improvements, including the construction of 10 new bridges, 4 bridge widenings, and one bridge deck replacement. Additionally, new collector-distributor (CD) roads and ramps at the Miami Gardens interchange are being constructed to enhance traffic flow and improve connectivity.
As part of a larger effort to improve traffic capacity and reduce congestion in both Miami-Dade and Broward counties, Segment AB is a crucial component of the I-75 corridor upgrades. The design services, led by WGI, include roadway and structural design, environmental assessments, drainage systems, utility coordination, and detailed traffic control plans.
