Overview
Bridge and roadway improvements increased capacity and improved safety on this 2-mile section of SR 710. Included replacement of the 1,400’ Big John Monahan Bridge over the St. Lucie Canal. Innovative design reduced the bridge length through the purchase of real property by the Big John Monahan Team, saving nearly $10M in costs to FDOT. The project was completed 104 days ahead of schedule and provided $25,784,115 cost in savings (from the proposed cost presented in the RFP). The Design Build Team was awarded a perfect CPPR score of 110.
