WORK
Cone & Graham, Inc. (C&G) constructed a 236-foot pile-supported concrete vehicular bridge over Horse Creek at the Mosaic mine in Polk County, following designs by Kimley Horn. C&G provided all supervision, equipment, labor, materials, testing, and surveying for the project.
The bridge structure included 24-inch concrete prestressed piling, 45-inch Florida I Beams, a concrete deck, and guardrails. Additional work involved grading, erosion control, sodding, and the installation of a crushed concrete base. Material testing and pile driving analysis were conducted to ensure the bridge’s durability and quality. This new bridge provides safe, reliable access to the Mosaic mine, supporting operational efficiency and infrastructure stability.
