WORK
Cone & Graham, Inc. recently completed the SR 732/Jensen Beach Causeway project in partnership with Carr Construction, enhancing a critical corridor for residents and visitors of Jensen Beach. This project, overseen by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), included significant roadway and pedestrian improvements aimed at increasing safety, accessibility, and overall user experience.
The scope of the project featured milling and resurfacing of the existing roadway, ensuring a smoother and more durable driving surface. Additionally, damaged sidewalks were replaced, and pedestrian curb ramps were upgraded to meet current Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, promoting greater accessibility for all users. Bicycle lanes were enhanced with new signing and markings, including buffered lanes to provide added safety for cyclists.
As part of the project, Cone & Graham, Inc. also upgraded the bridge's lighting system, replacing the existing bridge, pendant, and decorative pier lights to improve visibility and aesthetic appeal along the causeway. The successful completion of these improvements supports safer travel and enhanced connectivity for the Jensen Beach community.
