Cone & Graham, Inc. completed the construction of a modern single-lane roundabout at the intersection of Alt. US 19 (Palm Harbor Boulevard) and Florida Avenue in Palm Harbor. This project, completed in September 2023, enhances safety and efficiency by replacing the former stop-controlled intersection with a roundabout designed to improve traffic flow and reduce collision risks.

Key improvements included road resurfacing, drainage upgrades, new sidewalks, and modifications to the existing shared-use path to accommodate the roundabout. The roundabout was designed with a truck apron to support large vehicles and tractor-trailer combinations, ensuring that the intersection can handle heavy truck traffic while maintaining safety for all users.

The project aligns with the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) recommendations to reduce high-speed, right-angle crashes, supporting safer and more efficient navigation at this busy intersection.
